In its latest report, Check Point Research (CPR) looked behind the scenes of the ransomware economy to reveal the situation from both sides, both cybercriminal groups and victim organizations. To present both sides, they took a combined approach. CPR tracks a worldwide 24% increase in ransomware attacks on organizations compared to last year. The weekly average number of affected organizations is one in 53 compared to one in 66 for the same period in 2021.
